He has over 13 years of PE/VC, project finance, corporate finance experience with leading institutions in India like Intel Capital, the global investment arm of Intel Corporation for 8 yrs and ICICI.

He has full life cycle experience of PE across different sectors having invested in 20 deals, and realised exits generating 3x. Notable investments which exited include NIIT Ltd, India Infoline, Subex Systems, Nipuna Services, Accel Frontline, R Systems. Other investments - Persistent Systems, Tejas Networks, FINO, Microland, also managed M&A exits for Sharekhan, Indus Software, Future Soft. Extensive board level experience of managing portfolio companies 5 years of project/corporate finance, distress debt restructuring experience with ICICI Bank Telecom, Auto Components, Food processing, Healthcare, cement, synthetics.

He is an MBA, from IIM Lucknow & B.Tech., IIT Bombay.

He feels that there is a huge long term growth opportunity in India in these sectors and a solid franchise can be built over next 5-10 years by diligently creating a portfolio of companies which will be change agents in their respective fields. He is excited to be on this platform because his own personal interests (Education & Healthcare and not financial interests, which is a given in a set up like this) are aligned with the fund objective. He worked previously with World Bank supported Gujarat Venture, Jardine Fleming Electra and Actis before joining Milestone Religare. He has been involved with deals like Moser Baer, Zensar Technologies, Meghmani Organics, Daksh, GRO. Amit likes to spend his spare time playing Tennis, reading and listening to music.
